Another view from the church tower contributed by Phil Shimmon, circa 1930, this view is taken looking due west and shows the old silver fox farm situated behind the Fox public house,you can clearly make out the tower and kennels, this is most probably how the pub got its name.

The house in the foreground no longer exists, another example of this is in the 1910 photo with a horse and cart in front.

To the right of the picture you'll notice a building that has a veranda. This was used by the RAF and air cadet training, later it became a classroom used by Hollesley Primary school, when I attended school here in the 1950s it still had pictures of aircraft on the walls which were in silhouette, these were used for aircraft recognition.
