Oak Hill

Here is a picture showing the building of the Oak Hill estate contributed by Phil Shimmon.

This is my father and a party of his borstal boys putting in the foundations to one of the houses at Oak Hill. I have to think that the boys must have been toward the end of their course to tackle such a job, and this must have been in the early to mid fifties.
