Ada was born in Newport, Isle of Wight.

She was married to Archibald on December 25th 1900 at the Parish Church, Portsea, Portsmouth.
Her father was shown as a 'Hammerman' on the marriage certificate.

For some time it was thought that Ada and Archibald did not appear in the 1901 Census. However, it is now almost certain they appear under different names viz: Arthur. F. Freebody and Annie Freebody, living in Sun Street, Portsmouth. No reason is known for the use of different names.

Ada died in Portsmouth Aged 81.
