Archibald was a printer at the time of his marriage, but later on was a dairyman.

For some time it was thought that Ada and Archibald did not appear in the 1901 Census. However, it is now almost certain they appear under different names viz: Arthur. F. Freebody and Annie Freebody, living in Sun Street, Portsmouth. No reason is known for the use of different names. At this time Archibald alias Arthur was a labourer (Ship Fitter Portsmouth Dockyard)

He died in Southbourne near Chichester UK.
