General Information: Elizabeth was born in Loughborough, Leicester, England. Thomas was not her first marriage, as Elizabeth was born Elizabeth Bishop. She was Christened on the 8th May 1805 at All Saints, Loughborough, Leicester, England. It is unknown when she became Elizabeth Bannister. Elizabeth married Thomas a year to the day after his first wife Sophia died. They married at St John's church Bethnal Green, London, in 1842. She died in Esher, Kingston upon Thames in 1885, and her death certificate states she was 80 years old. The 1881 census incorrectly states her age as 73 years. |
