General Information: Married Gertrude Elizabeth Freebody on December 13th 1894. He was a seaman stationed at HMS Vernon at the time. The ceremony was at the Parish Church of Portsea, Portsmouth. A relative of Gertrude said that William died from heat whilst serving in the area of the Red Sea. This has not yet been proven. |
