Asuka's Status:

Asuka lives with bottlenose dolphins and hasn't lived with another orca since Tanouk died.

Asuka's History:

Asuka was part of 5 other orcas captured at the same time, called the Taiji Five. Asuka was moved to a sea pen called Taiji Whaling Museum and then moved to Izu-Mito Sea Paradise a month later, where she met Tanouk, who came from Marineland Antibes. Asuka adjusted to captivity quite well but she fell ill. But in 2000 Tanouk died and Asuka hasn't lived with another orca since.
