Kandu's History

Kandu's first home was Saedyrasafnid Aquarium, in Iceland. Kandu was captured with Bingo, Patti*, Junior* and an unnamed male*. The unnamed male* died at the park but the other 4 were sent to other parks. Kandu and Junior* were sent to Marineland Ontario and Bingo and Patti* went to Kamogawa SeaWorld. Kandu and Junior joined: Kiska, Nootka 5, Knootka*, Kanduke* and Keiko*. Keiko* was the first to leave the park, and was sent to Mexico, in February 1985. A year later Knootka* was sold to SWC and Kanduke* was also sold to SeaWorld, in 1987. Junior* left Kandu, Kiska and Nootka in 1990, when he was sent into the Warehouse where he passed away. When Friendship Cove was built in 1998, Kandu was transferred there. Kandu now lives in the Beluga's old home.
