Kiska's Status:
Kiska shares the dominancy role with Nookta 5. Kiska's only had one surviving calf out of 4, Hudson. She is currently pregnant with her 5th calf. Kiska does not perform anymore, but with Nootka, she and her do a few bows at the beginning of a petting session. Unlike Nootka, Kiska will interact. Kiska, Nootka and Hudson are all used for FC petting Sessions.
Kiska's History:
Kiska's first park was Saedyrasafnid Aquarium, In Iceland. She was later joined by Caren*, King*, and an unnamed female*. King* and Caren* were sent to Kamogawa SeaWorld, whilst Kiska and the unnamed female* were sent to Marineland Ontario. They were then joined by Kanduke* and Knootka*. 4 months after their arrival the unnamed female* died. In 1981, Kiska, Kanduke* and Knootka* were later joined by Nootka 5 and in 1982, they were joined by Keiko*. In 1984, MLC bought 2 orcas from Iceland: Kandu 7 and Junior*. Three years after Keiko*'s arrival, he was sent to Mexico. In 1986 Kootka was sent to SeaWorld San Diego and in 1987 Kanduke was sold to SeaWorld.
Kiska had lived most of her life in King Waldorf's Theatre, until FriendShip Cove was built in 1998. 3 out of 4 of her calves were born in KWT. Her latest calf, Hudson, was born in FriendShip Cove.
