Kshamenk's Status:
Kshamenk is the only orca at Acuario Mundo Marino. He lives with Bottlenose Dolphins and performs in the show with them. He hasn't been with another orca since 2000 when his female companion, Belén died.
Kshamenk's History:
Kshamenk was forced to stranded himself, when he was 3 or 4, by boats that were being controlled by Mundo Marino staff. At the same time 3 others were being forced to strand themselves but 2 of them were released and an adult bull died during the transfer. Kshamenk arrived at Acuario Mundo Marino and met Belén there. Belén gave birth to Kshamenk's calf in 1998, but sadly it was a stillborn. In 1999 their tank was expanded and 2 new pools were made. In 2000 Belén died and Kshamenk has been alone since, apart from the 10 bottlenose dolphins as his company.
