Tokitae's History:

Tokitae's capture was very violent, and she was around 6 years old. The orca were forced into nets by the people on the boats. Around 60 orcas were forced into the nets and 5 drowned to death. 7 orcas, including Tokitae, were kept while the others were released. Tokitae is the only surviving one. When Tokitae arrived at Miami Seaquarium she met Hugo, who was from the same pod as her. But in 1980 Hugo died from brain aneurism, which he caused by smashing his head against the glass. Since then Tokitae has never met another orca, and just has Pacific White-Sided Dolphins as her companions.
