Ex RAF Linton-on-Ouse
The TACR MKII is desighned as a rapid means of positioning Fire & Rescue Services close to airfield emergencys.
The vehicle seats a crew of 4 (max) including the driver.
It is based on a standard Range Rover chassis with a 775mm extension with an additional pair of wheels fitted to an axel.
The main fire fighting equipment consists of a fibre glass tank containing 900 litres of FLURO CHEMICAL FOAM at a premix ratio of 6% which is delivered through two 36mm x 38mm hoses by means of a single centrifugal pump.
Connected to the delivery hose are foam making branch pipes FMB`s fitted with spreader jaws and are stowed eather side of the vehicle.
