This was an exceptional treat of an evening at that “Centre of the Known Universe” - The Red Lion in Bozeat as we were taken through a pleasing medley of Rock Cover Versions not usually covered by the average covers band. But then again this was no ordinary covers band.

This fab foursome from Rugby were as diverse as the music they so skilfully covered, offering us some brilliant material from the likes of “Gun” and “AC DC” to “The Who”, and as much as their respective ages were diverse and interesting so too were the covers they chose to perform so well as they added a very personal touch to proceedings giving us slightly different but equally good renditions of these famous classic rock anthems that worked an absolute treat!.

What stood out for me was the easy way in which the band communicated to it’s audience both musically and personally making each and every one of the small but most appreciative crowd feel that they too were part of the evening’s entertainment.

I was equally impressed by their wonderful musicianship and tight control of their set blending almost imperceptibly one song into another and holding the whole thing together masterfully and enjoyably with an excellent sound to boot.

My only complaint was that sometimes the vocals on the bass players mic were a tadge on the low side.

Musically though I thought that this band were brilliant with some really excellent and classy guitar and bass work courtesy of Colin Mills on Lead Guitar, Craig Wright on Bass Guitar and Don Haggart on Rythem Guitar all of which also provided us with some sterling vocals as well.

Special thanks and praise must go also to their excellent drummer Adam Mills (the son of the lead singer) who at 17 played like a demonic muppet showing an appetite and craftsmanship of someone a whole lot older with vast more experience than his age suggests. His playing was a delight to behold as well as to hear. Mark my words, we shall be seeing and hearing a whole lot more from this talented young musician!

Sadly though I am led to believe he will be leaving the band to pursue other musical interests. We wish him well.

But for a band that has only been together for about 18 months this was a gig offering nothing but sheer professionalism and I for one had a fantastic evening!

Come back soon boys. You know you want to!
