This was the second time that I
managed to catch this fine band which as before they gave a very polished professional
good-time performance of exceptional quality to a very appreciative audience!
They are billed as being purveyors of
classic stadium rock and be in no doubt, this is exactly what they deliver in
abundance offering a surprisingly 2 hour non-stop set of rare quality and style that
seemed to pass like only a half an hour, so good was the music.
Their numbers ranged from the likes
of Guns n Roses, Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Meatloaf and even Abba, all
rocked up in a user-friendly and glorious package of infectious rock anthems that you
could actually move your booty and sing along to.
Rare for rock cover bands or for that
matter most rock bands The Strangers have a female lead singer and what a
glorious delightful raspy deep voice she has which perfectly compliments every track they
play.
Be in no doubt that she was just eye
candy (not!). This was one fine rock chick that took no prisoners as she stalked about the
stage and led with authority this 5 piece from the front. As my girlfriend pointed out it
was welcomingly refreshing!
Complimenting the band was some
exceptional and very talented guitar playing from the bands only guitarist playing an
excellent mix of rhythm and lead guitar perfectly lending itself to the fine and intricate
keyboard arrangements. Whilst bringing up the rear were the beats being provided so well
by their excellent drummer and bass player.
What they delivered was a crisp and
bright musical tone helped no doubt by some excellent sound engineering at the wonderful
Pitz venue.
I really wondered what this band
would sound like in a much smaller venue? The sound they make is as big as the tracks they
play and really suited this venue where they had the space to perform and give homage to
the music that appears to inspire and drive them.
I loved this band. They were great!
In my humble opinion, they are one of the best Rock Cover bands on the circuit at the
moment and was one glorious class act certainly not to be missed. It was the best £6 Ive
spent to see a band in a very long time.
So my advice would be not to wait
till they come to a venue or bike rally near you, get in the car or get a lift and go and
see them. You will not be disappointed! A great night out guaranteed which will leave you
wanting more and more!
