
Mitcham common is a large area of mixed habitat in South London bordered by Mitcham in the west. Croydon in the east and Beddington in the south. The habitats include golf course fairways, woodland, wetland, grassland and areas of tipped/reclaimed land. there are also several ponds. The purpose of this site is to report bird sightings and other local wildlife news on the common recorded on regular transect walks across various habitat areas.
