Introduction

The common is divided up into habitat areas, these are labeled by a letter and a number e.g. S1 where the letter signifies the habitat type and the number it's location as shown on the habitat map.

Each area was visited on a weekly basis and some areas more frequently when they occur on more than one route. The surveys were carried out within a couple of hours of dawn on my way to work. 

I have presented the results as a page for each site visited, I have included a brief description of the site and a list of birds seen with an indication of their frequency. I will also try to include any other points of wildlife interest where possible.

I have also included a page for photos that I have taken on the common and will update this regularly.
