Richard McGonigal's departure from Gortaclare Pipe Band has led to the appointment of Derek Walker as Drum Sergent for the remander of the season. Derek has played for gortaclare for 3 years and is lead drummer for his local band, Gillygolley which won the drumming at the recent Drumquin Pipe Band Championships. We wish him every success.

Our thanks go out to Richard for his commitment and effort over the recent year in helping gortaclare to build up a forceful drumcore capable of competing with the best in 4A. We wish him all the best.
