Mobile G Whip:
The commercial arm of G Whip was called the HW4 and it's variants, these antennas were built by SMC Ltd to surpass MIL 810 specification, rugged, strong and reliable and have been in use for over 25 years. G Whip antenna products now supply these units and spares built to the same specification for the commercial & professional user. The coils have been updated in that they are now filled with resin, making them virtually unbreakable, they are also double heat shrinked for protection. Prices from £245.00 Trade.
G Whip Piccolo Mobile Antenna:
A custom made design for commercial & professional users who expect MIL810F rugged quality. The antenna is operated as a base loaded unit and can be used from 3MHz to 20MHz continuously. Coarse adjustment is made via the 15 taps and the fine tuning is via the top whip element. VSWR is under 2/1 throughout the range. Currently undergoing testing on MIL vehicle. Supplied with very heavy duty base, large silver plated copper earthing strap, ball mount & spring plus antenna and whips, it is also supplied with a VSWR meter for adjustment. Construction is stainless steel base 3/8 UNF fitting and 28 mm in diameter, total height approx 2+ mtrs. Stainless steel upper elements. Silicon cable assembly for adjustments between taps. Full documented graphical chart showing tap point and whip length for required frequency in .5MHz steps from 3 to 20MHz (This can be also available for 50 to 500KHz steps at extra cost).
Note: All commercial units are built using stainless steel and the stems are double heat-shrinked.

A special version of the “G Whip Base Antenna” perfectly resonated on 2182 kHz, can be used vertically or horizontally and rotated. Built to surpass MIL 810 requirements, maximum power 100 watts PEP, under 16 foot long. Higher power versions available, Price on request.
