Welcome To The Goldthorpe Elim Pentecostal Church Web Page

We are a small, lively, Pentecostal church located in the village of Goldthorpe, in South Yorkshire. Goldthorpe is located 7 miles from Doncaster, 7 miles from Barnsley, and 7 miles from Rotherham, so we are right in the centre of the area. See map below.

We see the main purpose of our church to be to worship God, to encourage and strengthen each other in the Christian life, and to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  We firmly believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to a right relationship with God, and our desire is to show this to everyone that we can.  If you would like to know why we believe that Jesus Christ is the only way, then click on the 'Why Jesus?' link.

Within our site you will find details of our church, what we believe, and what we do each week.  There is also a message from our Pastor which will be changed approximately every month.

Directions

From A1(M)

• Leave at Junction 37 (A635) towards Barnsley.
• Proceed through the villages of Marr and Hickleton.
• At the approach to Goldthorpe take the first sign to the town centre.
• Follow the sign to the Elim Church (Beever Street - 3rd road on Left).
• The Church is on the corner of Beever Street and Cross Street.

From M1

• Leave at Junction 36 (A61) (Sheffield North) towards Barnsley Town Centre
• At the first Roundabout turn right and at the next Roundabout take the A6195 (A635) towards Doncaster. These two Roundabouts are very close together
• Continue along the A6195 (A635) until it becomes the A635. This will take you over 10 Roundabouts
• Turn right along A635 towards Doncaster. Turn left at the first Roundabout and straight across at the second Roundabout, still on the A635 towards Doncaster
• After the Second Roundabout
• Take the right turn to Goldthorpe Town Centre
• Follow the sign to the Elim Church (Beever Street - 3rd road on Left)
• The Church is on the corner of Beever Street and Cross Street
