Comments on Tryline's three-day Part 1 crammer course

All the below comments were recorded on force training feedback questionnaires from candidates attending a course. All were preparing for their Inspectors' Part 1 examination.

Very good, interactive system was excellent. Tryline are making the PowerPoint presentations available following the course which is a bonus.

Excellent crammer course. I could have spent two weeks doing this and not have been bored. Pitched at the right level. The trainer was approachable, friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Thanks very much - I'm sure I'll do better than I would have.

Interactive questions were brilliant, kept the training interesting. Very worthwhile course. Excellent and well worth the money.

It was good to have interactive learning via the PRS (Personal Response System). The trainer was knowledgeable with a great relaxed style that created a very good learning environment. I would recommend this course as it can be used as a springboard to study or just to re-inforce topics already studied.

The question response format was excellent. The provision of a disc with questions and slide notes was excellent.

Excellent. Subject matter supplied at the correct pace and at the appropriate level. Obviously very well researched and both trainers enthusiastic. Very approachable and willing to spend time with students. Very worthwhile, money well spent.

The trainer was very good, interesting and knowledgeable. Easy to listen too and made 'heavy' topics light. Very worthwhile. Better than Barrons as it had more detail. Great course, my brain feels charged!

Delivery and I.T. was equipment excellent. Great idea regarding answering questions on screen.

Tryline OSPRE Part 1 courses

Tryline Training and Assessment Solutions can deliver three-day crammer courses for candidates preparing for their OSPRE Part 1 examination. Experienced qualified Police law trainers will deliver the course. The course will be based on the OSPRE Part 1 syllabus.

The three-day course will be structured as follows:
Day 1: Crime
Day 2: Traffic and Evidence and Procedure
Day 3: General Police Duties
The course will be an intense three days.

Each session will combine a mixture of lectures supported by knowledge checks and interactive activities.

The interactive activities will incorporate the use of PRS (Personal Response System) as used in many college and university lectures. This process involves the use of a handheld keypad linked to a computer system. It will be used to assess a candidate's knowledge in conjunction with visual media thereby complementing the lecture content. This ensures candidate participation and provides the student with an indication of their level of knowledge. Tryline is unique in using this technology as a study aid for OSPRE Part 1.

At the end of the course candidates will be provided with a CD containing multi-choice questions to further assist their preparation. These questions have been written by a NPIA Examinations and Assessment qualified multi-choice question writer. Consequently, the multi-choice questions will reflect the type of question contained in the OSPRE Part 1 Examination. The course knowledge checks used in conjunction with the PRS have also followed the same multi-choice question design process.

The cost of the three-day course will be £125 (inclusive of VAT).
