Firstly, an apology for the long time lapse since the last update due to some re-organisation.
PRESENTATIONS; The UK team have been busy preparing the two presentations which have been held in our local area (N.W.). These have been well attended and everyone have been informed of recent events.
INVESTIGATION; The trustees of NET (the body responsible for the oversight and administration of the Bethany project) have been very concerned with recent events at Bethany and have appointed Mr. David Shore (founding member and now a minister at Acomb Christian Fellowship) to investigate the circumstances which led up to the return home of 3 UK volunteers and the resignation of Fares Mussa and his wife Grace. Dave asks that if anyone has information which would help in his investigation they should contact him initially by email at daveshoregc@hotmail.com . Dave will be assisted by Marjorie Rylands (an ex-volunteer who stayed at Bethany for over 12months). They leave for Bethany Tanzania on Monday the 20th January. The report will no doubt make recommendations as to the future management structure, administration and personnel. It is hoped that this report will be made available by the end of February.
OTHER NEWS; There is also good news and we are pleased to report that the team in Tanzania are looking at the possibility of admitting two more boy orphans aged 11yrs and 7yrs.
HOME NEWS; Mr. David Harvey of NET has been asked to help with the website etc.
