PAST NEWS - AUGUST 2000

Tuesday 22nd August 2000 10:33 hours
Fax received today 09:45 hours local time Tanz (two hours behind).
Everything going to plan - Everyone well.
A new doorway has been knocked through to provide more sleeeping accommodation for the girls.
New concrete plinth has been constructed around the solar pumping tower.
New shelves installed in the container housing the solar battery and controls.
Unfortunately some of the jobs have not been completed, eg. the Landrover needs special tools for both
jobs that need doing.
Bill has taught the children a verse in English of one of their favourite hymns, 'How Great Thou Art'.
At the moment they are planning what to video for the family back home.
No further communication expected from the duo until their return on 31st August 2000.
Tuesday 15th August 2000 12:02 hours
Bill and Graham arrived safely and were met by Fares, Elisha and Bernadi.
They have already tagged the keys for the containers, well and tower so that they will be easier to identify
in future.
Bill has repaired doors and locks and is now attempting to repair the alarm in the office.
The solar water pump is working well along with the solar electric supply.
The kids have been very welcoming and are helping with everything we do whether we want them to or not!
Phil and Jo Wright visited on Sunday 13th August and organised activities for the children including football,
drawing and recorder playing.

Eddie, Heather and Moira arrived back safely.
Heather and Moira have helped Grace get everything upto date and shipshape.
They also completed a Clinic stock-take.
The new children are settling in well.
Eddie has a list of jobs for Graham and Bill to do when they arrive on Friday 11th August.

Communications still working both ways!
Eddie Heather and Moira have confirmed their MAF flight out of Mwanza so everything going according to
plan.
Eddie gives a list of jobs he's done and things still left to do.
The team land in Manchester early Tuesday morning.
