News from Bethany Tanzanian Wednesday 18th September 2002
Much has happened since the last update on the 14th August 2002.
The visiting team returned safe and well - they were: Sharon, Rebecca, Paul, Vicky and Barry.
Rebecca wrote a short article for her Church's magazine, it mainly deals with Regina's death
All the team seem to have had a positive experience - Sharon gave a long report on progress etc.
Vicky Payne, Barry, Rebecca and Sharon spent much of the time with Onsmo and the children
practising singing, drama and games, Rebecca also spent some of the time in the Clinic and Paul
enjoyed playing football with the boys. He also did some painting and intends to return next summer.
Sadly, Faith Turner is no longer with the Tanz team which leaves Gill Luck, Victoria Kyriakidis and
Rachel Hill. Fares, Grace and Moses have now moved into their own house just off site and we wish
them well as they adjust to life outside of the Bethany community
The visiting team which is made up of Brain Bancroft and Eddie Jeffery (both UK team members) and
Hannah Child (a prospective short term volunteer) have now been there almost a week with just one
week left to go. Brian and Eddie are keen to 'move things on' and much will need to be accomplished if
the children's visit to the UK can go-ahead as planned next year.
Victoria Kyriakidis has provided a newsletter for August and I must apologise for it's late arrival on
these pages.
Future Trips: None yet planned - waiting for Brian and Eddie's report on their return.

Prayer:
We would very much ask that you would pray for Brian and Eddie as they build bridges and get
alongside to re-envision and encourage the Tanz team in their tasks and relationships.
Pray also for Faith as she return to the UK that she will have the support she needs.
Pray also for Fares and Grace as they move into their new house.
Pray for Gill Luck, Victoria Kyriakidis and Rachel Hill as they build strong supportive relationships with
one another.
Pray for all the children and workers, the clinic and all those who visit it that they are healed.
Pray for unity of purpose for all those involved in Bethany that we all seek God's will and His leading.
Pray for all our supporters who have made everything possible.
