Grahame Beer merits new club record.

Gladstone Bowling Club celebrated a successful 2011 bowling season at their Annual Presentation Award night at the Masonic Hall in Hawarden on Saturday 7th January.  The evening started with a presentation of the ten competition trophies which were awarded during the playing season, followed by a buffet, quiz and disco, organised by the club’s Social Committee.

During the award ceremony two new club records, achieved during the season, were celebrated. Grahame Beer became the first member to win all three merits titles in the same season, succeeding in the Chester League, Flintshire Midweek League and finally the Deeside Vets League. The second record to be established was set by our two ladies, Chris Beer and Caroline Jones, where for the first time the Vets Singles Elvet Ellis Cup competition became an all-female final.
