MPL together with it's sister spacecraft Mars Climate Orbiter failed to reach Mars sucessfully. Even so no stone is being left unturned just in case Mars Polar Lander made it to the surface intact but landed at an unusual angle. Orbiting spacecraft Mars Global Surveyor has been set the task of searching the Martian surface for signs of the parachute. Radio Telescopes around the W

wrorld including the one at Joderell Bank continue to listen for weak signals from the spacecraft.

PEARLS OF WISDOM

The ninth deadly sin is to pretend you are catering for everyone at the same time..

DIY RADIO TIMES
There was a time not so very long ago, when The Radio Times was the definitive source of information about what was on the box (and the radio). More recently the Sunday papers have taken to printing their own TV & radio listings.
BBC ALERT
You can now have what is in effect your personalised edition of The Radio Times emailed to you for free. It only covers BBC TV & radio, but you can completely customise it's content. If you are only interested in gardening programs BBC Alert will forewarn you and give a thumbnail sketch of their contents. Visit
http://www.bbc.co.uk/cgi-bin/alert/settings.pl for your personal copy G.

WINDOWS 2000
Has anyone in Glencom used a beta copy of Windows 2000? We would like to hear your comments.
