Mystery Run - 20th February |
|
The first mystery run of the year took place yesterday on the 20th of
February. Geoff Lomax led six people on five bikes on a run up the
Antrim Coast. The weather was fine and sunny with a bit of a wind in
evidence. The team stopped for coffee, scones and a warm up at the
Londonderry Arms Hotel in Carnlough before continuing northwards to
Ballycastle. An excellent lunch was taken in the Marine Hotel but
Michael Sweeney was sickened to find that Manchester United had beaten
Leeds by one goal to nil. Michael could not care tuppence for Leeds Utd.
you understand but he works with some with some insufferable ManU bores
and would have liked to see them weep on Monday. After a protracted lunch where Lewis Cherry regaled all with tales of courtroom deeds and foreign tours past the run continued along the coast past Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge and the Giants Causway to Portrush. All went their separate ways after completing a lap of the North West 200 course (at legal speeds, M'Lud). Come one - come all to the next mystery run. |
