The
Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal was issued to commemorate the 50th
Anniversary of The Queen's Accession on 6 February 2002.
Members
of the 'front line' emergency services - accessed by dialling 999
- who have completed a minimum of five year's reckonable service
on 6 February 2002 - the 50th anniversary of the Queen's Accession
- will receive the medal to mark The Queen's Golden Jubilee.
The emergency services include the police, fire, and ambulance services,
the Coastguard, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, and the
Mountain Rescue Service.
Those also
eligible to receive the medal are:
Serving
members of the Armed Forces and Royal Fleet Auxiliary who completed
5 years' service on 6 February 2002;
Holders
of the Victoria Cross or George Cross. |
