Ron, your daughter Rachel is a friend of my sister Alice. Thank-you for letting us down the mine a couple of weeks ago. It was a very enjoyable trip. It looks like you have done a massive amount of work over the years ! I dabbled in mining for a while at Leicester (studying) before heading to South Africa to work briefly on a goldmine, though now working for a large mining company as a Petroleum Geologist, strange ! Are you in touch with Trevor Ford, who used to lecture at Leicester, though it's been a very long time since I saw him,I beleive he retired to Castleton. Anyway many thanks John

Greting to T'Owd Man o' Goodluck Mine ! I've found you at last after your site migrated from Netscape ! The site has come on very well since the earlier version. Keep up the good work. I like the additional pages you've added. Who's the ghost in the right hand picture on this home page ? See you've not changed the black & white photos yet. Still time yet. See you soon. I.ll keep coming back to have a look through the workings ! Bye for now. Judy.

Enjoyed exploring your site. Some of the back grounds are a bit garish ? Consider rationalising the pages to the same back grounds ? Pages for "Notice Board", "Geology", and "Kings Field", seem to be "add ons", accessible via the site map only ? Would it not be better to make all the site a linear one, where each page is consecutive, and follow in order ?? Also, I presume these boxes on the Home Page, are the site Guest Book ? Hope my comments will be of value to you ? Otherwise, it's an interesting site. Look forwards to more developments in the near future ?

Well done. I like the set up with pictures as well as reading. Hope if you are well enough in the summer to visit it again as last visit I think was when Pen was about 4 years old.

Hi Ron, you may not remember me, but I helped you and Chris Bull set up yre mine wayback. I have got my daughter and her partner coming over from new zealand in the middle of june. They have just discovered potholing and have done a bit in NZ. I wondered if there would be any chance of getting on a tour of Good Luck if you have one arranged during that time? Regards

I'm very intersted in helping with any maintainence or work on the mine. I've recently completed a degree at Derby University in Geology and would love to put this to good use wherever possible.

My family paid tithe and worked the Goodluck mine up till 1830 when it was sold to Messrs John Alsop & co.. Gamaliel Hall was killed there in 1783 when he fell down one of the shafts. I would like to bring my father who is 79 to visit the mine on Monday next if that would be ok? We knew nothing of the history of the family until very recently. All the best Mick Hall.
