5-A-Side Football Competition
The Anne Spence Trophy For Scouts
Scout Results 2001
This years competition was organised by Alan Bull, and held in the
Inverkeithing Community Wing on Saturday 24th November. Many thanks must go
to Alan Bull, to the Inverkeithing Wing, for use of their facilities, the Inch
Fellowship for keeping the scores and to all others who helped to make the
competition a success, including the competitors.
A special
thanks must be offered to referee Malcolm McAuley, who refereed all the
games.

As there were seven teams this year, the competition was played in two
leagues, chosen by draw, with the top team from each league, playing the runner
up from the other league in a knockout semi-final then final.
All games were 5 mins each way. Suitable breaks was held during the evening
for the referee to have a breather, and before the final for the teams to
rest.

In the Venture Scout competition, the 41st Venture Scout Unit were the only
team who took part and were awarded the trophy by default. However, the did
play one recorded game, against an All Stars team, consisting of Leaders and
one senior PL. The results are show at game 7 above.
