Petty Officer from Heavy Cruiser Admiral Hipper. Huge set of documents including many membership Ausweis docs, official letters, personal letters, award documents for war badges etc, postwar docs and even many docs for his wife, engaged on war work in a munitions factory. 2.Photograph Album - U=Bootsbegleitschiff Saar

 

A rare photo album from the Saar, mothership to U-Flotille Weddigen. Dark blue cover embossed with the national emblem and name of the ship in gold. Contained inside are over 80 photos ranging from the sailors oath taking ceremony at Dänholm, through exercises at sea, trips to foreign ports etc. As well as on-board photos from the Saar, there are photos taken from her showing other ships, such as the cruiser "Königsberg", Görings motor yacht "Carin", Hitlers state yacht "Aviso Grille", the sail trainer "Gorch Fock" and of course many U-Boats. Each page is skillfully lettered in white ink with details of what is portrayed in the photos. £225 ($400)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Rare example of the so-called Death Card

This example is to a member of the feared Feldgendarmerie, or Military Police, one of the rarer and more sought after branches of the Wehrmacht to find memorabilia to. Very good condition. £35 ($60)

 

4. Rare First Pattern Bundesmarine Ribbons. These are woven in the Gothic script used by the Kriegsmarine and are often passed off as wartime but date from the earliest days of the Bundesmarine being used for only a short time before being replaced by the block script ribbons still used today. These are now very scarce and difficult to find. Each, only £10 ($15)
