Kriegsmarine

 

This part of the site deals with the awards and badges worn by U-Boat Crewmen of the Kriegsmarine from 1939 to 1945. The most significant of these are of course the U-Boat War Badge itself, and the U-Boat Front Clasp. The miscellaneous section covers other badges directly related to the U-Boats whilst the Medals and Awards section deals with other decorations which though not specifically intended purely for U-Boat crewmen, were often worn by them- the Iron Cross for instance. The Award Documents section will show original examples of the award documents for these medals, as issued to U-Boat crew.
