There were very few trade insignia specifically designated as U-Boat. The insignia worn by U-Boat crewmen were basically the same as worn throughout the Navy. Although it would theoretically be possible for almost any trade badge of the navy to be worn by a U-Boat crewman, having learned that particular trade before transferring to the U-Bootwaffe, those shown here are those for trades which were specifically included within the crew of a typical U-Boat.
