This section looks at the uniforms and insignia worn by the men of the U-Boat service. Many of these uniforms will not be unique to the U-Boats. For example, the standard officers reefer jacket was used by all branches of the Navy. However, the examples shown here are wherever possible those with provenance linking them directly to the original wearers-men of the U-Boat service.
