Uniforms

The "Master" template for this page is still under construction. Meanwhile here are some of the uniforms which will be featured. All are directly attributable to U-Boat crew personnel.

 

The Reefer Jacket, "Uberzieher" or "Collani" as worn by enlisted ranks. The chevrons indicate the rank of Matrosenobergefreiter. The length of the jacket has been shortened, a common unofficial fashion amongst sailors.

A reefer jacker or "Collani" as worn by a U-Boat crewman with the rank of Maat.

Later jackets had the gold braid around the edge of the collar deleted.
