Who are these mysterious Maybourneites and what do they want?
Little is known about them, save what they allow to be known. They all seem to have titles, honorary or otherwise, but beyond that they are an enigma, a mystery shrouded in rumour and innuendo! Recognising the Maybourneites:
How, you may ask, will I recognise a Maybourneite, should I come across them? Good question. Take a moment to peruse the information below, bearing in mind that some of it may be cunning misinformation, planted to lead the unwary astray... Or not.
Known Maybourneites:
#1 - Graculus Also known as 'the High Priestess' or 'Chief Maybourneite'. Her role is known to include the creation of the Cult of Maybourne itself, the aggressive pursuit of new converts amongst those naïve enough to associate with her, the creation of a write-in campaign to get the blessed Harry his long-deserved place on SG-1. Rumour has it that she shares a brain with another Maybourneite, but as yet this cannot be proven.
#2 - Cedara. Also known as 'the Maybourneite of Extra-Terrestrial Relations (and Vivisection)'. Her role is known to include the selection of appropriate research methods, to further the blessed cause of Maybourneism.
#3 - Obelix. Also known as 'the Maybourneite of Public Re-programming'. Her role is known to include the dissemination of propaganda.. sorry, that should say 'information'... about the Maybourneite cause.
#4 - Rachel Also known as 'the Maybourneite of Righteous Canonicity'. Her role is known to include the public assertion, on any mailing list going, that TPTB clearly intended for Jack-Harry romance from the very creation of his character, or else why would he appear in so many episodes? And that anyone who disagrees with this is clearly in denial.
#5 - Penfold Also known as the 'Maybourneite of Overwhelming Paranoia'. Her role is to keep telling the Cult members that everyone is out to get them, just in case they forget and let down their guard. Also credited with the creation of the purple mist machine, used by the Chief Maybourneite to 'good' effect in a variety of forums.
#6 - Rae Her exact designation is unknown, but we bet it's something scary and evil-like. Role unknown, but see previous comment. |
