In the Integrated Risk Management Plan 2005/2010 Musselburgh Fire Station will be closed and relocated to the Wallyford area where the new station will have one Pump and one Incident Support Unit, relocated from Marionville when it closes. When the new station at Wallyford opens Tranent will close as it will no longer be required. This will be a Community Fire Station. (May 2006)
