In the Integrated Risk Management Plan 2005/2010 Tranent Fire station will close when the new station in the Wallyford area opens as it will no longer be required. This new station will be a Community Fire Station. Musselburgh Fire Station will be closed and relocated to the Wallyford area where the new station will have one Pump and one Incident Support Unit, relocated from Marionville when it closes.
