Over many years teaching craft subjects (CV) I have developed a wide range
of skills for making high quality items in a range of materials.
At all times I seek to produce the highest quality possible
within existing constraints. Hence, I resist any quick fix solutions.
As a very loose guide to costing, I was able to charge approximately £400 for the
Marlin Trophy, and approximately £70 for the Paper Knife. However,
bearing in mind that £25 an hour is very competitive for craftsman made
items, and the Guide Trophy took approximately 200 hours to make, it
goes that
some items can become quite expensive. All orders are
discussed with the client originally, with an estimate agreed. The final
amount is variable to a
certain extent owing to the myriad of variables
that can be encountered during the making process.
Where possible I will make a 'design
model' or 'mock up' prior to commencing work.
I encourage clients to view the work
during progress.
Normal guarantees against defects in
materials and workmanship apply, and I am always willing to discuss the
repair of accidental damage etc. at my normal rates.
