Dave Wallis bit on R/C Electronics

To enable easy trimming of two wing servos (such as in Muscovy) I used the Servo splitter below to allow trimming of the servos once they had been buried in the wings. The servo inverter was created on the way to making the splitter and allows reversing of the servo (and electronic trimming of neutral) without having to rewire anything. They can both be built on stripboard to small size. The only component specification is that the timing capacitor should be Polyester or Polycarbonate, not ceramic. The smoothing capacitor is normal Tantalum. Note the cunning arrangement of C1 and R1 to remove the noise generated on the 5V power supply by driving the other servos in the model. This ensures that the supply to the timing circuits is suitably decoupled and thus removes all the jitter.
