*Update 4th October, 2007*
On Monday 24 October a man was confronted as
he appeared to leave a house in Montgomery Road. He acted confused then sped
away in his car up Bollo Lane. He had apparently tried to gain access
claiming he wanted “to check the wood in the floor”. After the police were
called, it was discovered the man was a known sex offender.
He was about 6ft tall, 50-60 years old, shabbily dressed with blue jeans and
a jacket, medium length grey hair, white, English and he drove an old dark
green Rover.

*Update 4th December, 2005*
NEW SCAM: Car number-plates are removed and
then used for trips into the congestion charge area and illegal parking. If
yours are stolen, call the police and request a crime number; use this when
responding to a summons. No Nails glue, costing £4 a tube, can be purchased
from B&Q and is very effective. Most car plates are easily removed

*Update 28th May, 2005*
Chiswick Police report:
"There have been two cases in
Chiswick where a woman has posed as a nurse to con her way into peoples'
homes, then stolen property whilst the occupant has been distracted. She is
aged around 30, black, wears a nurse's uniform and on one occasion was
accompanied by two men.
This woman may well try her luck
again. Please warn vulnerable neighbours, advise them
not to let anyone claiming to be a nurse into their home unless they are
expecting them & to call police if they are suspicious. "
