The club was founded in October 1992 and welcomes parents of multiples from pregnancy onwards. We are affiliated to Tamba, the national organisation supporting families with multiples, and we also receive mailings from the Multiple Births Foundation.

Our overall aim as a club is to provide and share support and friendship with local parents of multiples. All members are supported through the club as a whole and we also offer a one-to-one parent link scheme. The club can provide a small pool of volunteer members willing to offer a limited amount of practical help, ranging from cooking a meal to doing some ironing or babysitting. At a member’s own request, this may be offered at times of particular family difficulty, perhaps when the babies are first born, or if a family member falls ill, for example.
Once a month the club runs its own toddler group for young twins and their siblings and, depending upon demand, "Under Ones" coffee mornings for those with babies (or just with bumps!) are hosted by volunteer members.
We also have a library and maintain a list of equipment for sale. Newsletters are published monthly and quarterly.
Throughout the year we try to hold a wide variety of activities. These include monthly social evenings (which may include a talk or demonstration), barbecues, picnics, couples’ evenings out, fund-raising events and seasonal events for the children.
At our club we feel strongly that every expectant and new mum should be able to talk with someone else who has been through similar experiences. We will try to link new members with an existing member who can provide one-to-one support. Contact can be made through telephone calls and get-togethers. We hope that new members will feel that they have someone to turn to, who will understand their feelings and share their experiences.
The club always tries to be warm, open and welcoming.
