Lybster 5 v 2 John O'Groats

John O'Groats suffered a big lose on Friday night against Div 2 outfit Lybster in a game where Groats were missing key players. Groats still without keeper Henderson had to rely on Willie Ross to take over the postion in goals again. Groats were also missing several key players, captain Sinclair, right winger Mark Munro and main striker Derek Munro were all rested in prepartion for the Halkrik F.C. v Thurso F.C. cup final on Saturday.

These players presence was clearly missed though out the whole game. The 1st half started pretty even, Lybster took the lead however John O'Groats equalised through a good header from young defender Tait.

However things changed in the second half and Groats seemed to fall apart, poor defending, poor passing and some good football led to Lybster neting five goals. Andy Webster pulled one goal back for Groats but the game was well over by that stage.
