Groats lose 1^st League Game to Castletown

Castletown 4 v 0 John O'Groats

John O'Groats kicked off their opening game off the season against a good Castletown side loosing 4 - 0 on the night. Groats were boosted by the return of No. 1 keeper Shaun Henderson in nets and welcomed the return of Mark Robertson to midfield.

Both teams started of fairly well Groats seemed to have the best of the first half however, had no clear chances to take the lead. Castletown scored a good goal, right on the half time mark, from a corner kick set peice to take a 1-0 lead.

Groats came out the second half and should have taken the lead when a goal was chopped of by the linesman for not going over the line. The turning point in the game was when Castltown scored from a free kick on the edge of the box. Castletown ended up the worthy 4 - 0 winners.
