John O'Groats denied draw against Acks 21st April 2003
John O'Groats 1 v 2 Thurso Acks
Thurso Acks got a last mintue goal against a battling John O'Groats side to take
all three points. Manager Andy Webster was still without Mark Munro, currently on Holiday and
also without left-back Ewan Mackay (injured) but welcomed back striker Shaun Hensdridge who partnered
Derek Munro up front.
Acks took the lead after 34 mins, John O'Groats battled on through-out the match and actually
played the better team and at least deserved the draw. Derek Munro scored a goal right on the 89th
minute and it look like the team who previously beat Pentland Utd would have to settle for a draw.
However Acks got straight back into the game and scored within the last minute to end up 2 - 1 winners.
John O'Groats FC: Henderson, Tait, Sinclair, M. Banks, J. Banks,
MacAllan, Robertson, Ross, Muir, Henstridge, D. Munro
