Francis St Club 2 v 1 John O'Groats

John O'Groats experienced more cup upset last night as they went out the Quarter Finals of the David Allan Shield loosing 2 - 1 to Francis St Club.

Groats suffered a major blow in their team line up when number one keep Shaun Henderson was currently unavailable for selection, this meant back up keep Willie Ross was drafted in between the sticks. Apart from that Groats fielded one of their stronger teams with every other player available for selection.

Both teams started off quite even in terms of play however it was Francis St Club that took the lead after 28 minutes. Groats battled back hard and played some good football but had to wait until the 2^nd half when top scorer Derek Munro equalised on the 50^th minute to make it 1 - 1.

Francis St Club managed to fight back and took the lead to make it 2 - 1. Groats tried their hardest to push for Extra Time, however poor passing and poor finishing lead to them being knocked out of the David Allan Shield Quarter Finals.
