Well now... The Orcs came and died, most of them. The others have left to seek a home elsewhere and Taureanna is a cleaner place now.

Can we please have photo's and/or written reports from some of the players to put up a gallery for the event. Any size jpeg file would be good as I can resize them if required.

There will be a video available as soon as I get time to edit it down to a half sensible size, in the mean time the video trailers will remain.

Thanks to all the players for coming, all the monsters for monstering and all the crew for making it work so well.

Joust - a festival of mediaeval mayhem

In 2005 we spectated. In 2006 we participated, In 2007 we shall conquer all got very wet.

We were going to joust and then it rained, and rained and then we had more rain. So much rain fell in the Berkley area that the river severn burst its banks and filled what used to be a flood plain below the castle. All the access roads got blocked and the event was rained off completely. The financial devastation caused the organiser to go bankrupt and scuppered plans for 2008 too.

A heroic mention should be made for our Caggles who spent 23 hours in her car, most of it marooned in the flood waters on the M5 and also the rest of the victims who didn't get a chance to play.

Ben, Shiv, Sharon, Jay, Geoff and all the others, lets hope he gets it sorted.

Maurice, hope things are a bit better now mate and I am sure if you organise another one we will be there.
