John de Gomeldon

Inquisition taken at Porton before Thomas de Harpedene, the King's escheator in Wilts [etc], 20th January, 20 Edward II [1327], by the oath of Stephen de Bealuer, Walter de Thacham, Stephen ......, Stephen le Yonge, John le Bacheler, William le Bacheler, John Gudchild, Thomas le Neuille, John Prat, Hugh Oliver, John le Muleward, and William Gudechild, who say that
John de Gomeldon held of the King in chief, as by the forfeiture of Hugh le Despenser, the younger, on the day he died, one messuage, 60 acres of arable land, 1 acre of meadow, and 5s rent in Porton, by homage and fealty, and by one fourth of one knight's fee for all service.
He also held from Jordan Daunger 50 acres of arable land, 2 acres of meadow, and 6s. rent in the same vill in socage by the service of paying 33s. yearly. The messuage is worth 18d. yearly, the 110 acres of arable land 18s. 4d., the 3 acres of meadow 3s.
John, son of the said John de Gomeldon, is his next heir, and is 12 years old and more
