Fred Songhurst War Vet Dies
Frederick George Songhurst, 63, of Nairn Avenue died yesterday at the Ontario Hospital on Queen Street. Born in England, Mr. Songhurt came to Toronto as a boy. He was a CPR yardmaster for many years. He served overseas in the great War. Surviving are his wife, formerly Emily Gumbleton, and two daughters Mrs. Alec Eurke and Mrs. John Duncan, of Long Branch. The funeral will be from the Jarrett Funeral Chapel, St. Claire Ave. W., on Monday at 2 p.m. to the Veteran's Plot, Prospect Cemetery.
