Waverton Good Read Children's Award 2011
The Good Read is extending its reach into primary schools by establishing the Waverton Good Read Children's Award. 9 to 11-year-olds in local schools were invited to judge the best British debut children's novel of the year. In this first year, we created a short list of five books to present to the children in Years 5 and 6 at primary schools in Waverton and Chester.
The books for 2011 are listed opposite.
