How to print
We have created printer-friendly pages by stripping our sites of presentational
images and disabling unnecessary information which is useless in printed
format, for example navigational menus.
Our printed content has not been given fixed width sizes therefore it
will expand to fit into papers of any sizes (e.g. A3, A4, Posters) or
any format (i.e. landscape or portrait).
You can print our content via your browser menu "file >
print preview > print" or by using the keyboard shortcut
"CTRL+P".
We're user friendly!
We have built our web pages so that they're readable and usable
without style sheets for browsers that do not support them. Our
content is organized logically, in linear fashion with navigation links
placed at the bottom of the file therefore our content will be displayed
in a meaningful order even when style sheets are turned off or not supported.
You can check this for yourself by copying our source code (right click
on any page and choose "view source" or choose
"view > source" from your browser menu),
saving it as a html file and then opening it.
You can check our Waverton site for accessibility using the Bobby
validator.
We're a standard-compliant site
Our site has been written in valid XHTML, that is to say that it is free
from any code errors. We have tried our best to make sure that our XHTML
code complies with the standards set by the W3
Consortium (the organisation that issues the web's HTML standards).
We've also used valid Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to create the look
and feel of our website and have separated our content from design.
We've endeavoured to control all design features by our style sheet and
have created it to be multi-browser compatible.
Why not use the W3 Consortium's own validators to check our
XHTML and
CSS?!
Impressed?
And so you should be! We have put many hours of hard
work to meet all these standards and create a site that will visually
stimulate you. We're confident that you'll love the site!
